Culture Republick Lemon & Graham pint package art by Jason Naylor

Jason is an artist, designer, & creative director based in Brooklyn. We’re obsessed with his street art murals, which carry a distinct style of upbeat messages & colorful visuals. From listening to comedy to finding inspiration through quotes, Jason surrounds himself with positivity, which authentically shines through in his work. He also has a unique approach with color. Drawn to vibrant & iridescent colors, like gasoline on the street, Jason likes creating gradients & blends that purposefully clash – resulting in pieces that are jam-packed with kinetic energy.

How does your flavor inspire your pack design?

“Lemon has a very distinct flavor. It’s one of those things that you know exactly what it is, but it’s difficult to describe with words, to the point even, that trying to describe lemon might generate words that don’t exist, or that you don’t hear often. Remember the word, onomatopoeia? Well this is a place where those describing words might help. Zip. Zing. etc. But the beauty of design, is being able to incorporate shapes and colors to create a visual that really emphasize this. What does the taste of lemon LOOK LIKE? Well I needed all of these elements to drive that home.”

Why does Culture Republick appeal to you?

“I love it and have a tradition of eating ice cream every Sunday night. It’s a tradition my Dad started when I was young and each Sunday he would make hand-whipped milkshakes. Ironically, I would often ask for lemon for my flavor of milkshake, and he would add lemon juice and lemon zest to make it. So, when given the opportunity to work on Culture Republick, it was a no brainer. Taking something I already love and adding a healthy component to it seemed perfect. And lemon!? …Sold!”
